The opportunity arose unexpectedly, and within hours of learning about the listing, we made the decision to purchase. The manageable financial scale gave us confidence to embark on our first independent venture into property development, one that would lay the foundation for all that followed.
Overcoming Challenges with Partnership and Grit
Developing Bellis during the pandemic came with its share of challenges. Securing a reliable main contractor proved difficult amid supply chain disruptions and labour shortages.
Fortunately, we found a trusted partner who not only took on the build but mentored us through the construction process. Their guidance was instrumental as we navigated piling complexities on a compact site and endured approval delays with the BCA.
Despite the hurdles, once approvals were secured, the project was completed within 12 months, a milestone we remain deeply proud of.
